snow in here as well on the backside. the planner for today, we're looking at 28 degrees when you wake up around 7:00 this morning, by 10:00 33-degrees and the clouds will increase throughout the day. we have some patchy fog this morning. that will burn off but by lunchtime, that temperature coming in at 36 degrees. let's get a check now of the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren cook. good morning. good morning lynette. unfortunately we are dealing with a crash in baltimore city. it's right on liberty heights avenue at cool away avenue and on 95 we are dealing emergency construction. right along the southbound lanes between 195 and the beltway. here's a live look at the scene though. it's not causing any delays whatsoever. it will be nice and clear all the way down to d.c. and the northbound lanes also in great shape. just a 12 minute ride from elkridge all the way to downtown baltimore. as we check in and take a look at the other abc2 timesaver traffic drive times, normal conditions on the jfx heading downtown. it's going to take you just 11 pink traveling southbound from the beltway all the way to east fayette street. and 695 in great shape right

now on the west site. you're looking at just an eight minute ride on the outer loop from 795 down to 70. that's a lock at your morning commute. megan and charlie, over to you. it was one week ago that double shooting in harford county left a teenager dead and another recovering. now the community is coming together to remember the teen lost way too soon. abc2 news' sherrie johnson is here with more on this story. what can you tell us? >> reporter: well, megan tonight family and friends will gather for a candle slight ridge jill to have been -- candle light vigil to remember michael kearins. it happened about 10:30 p.m. at the recreational park edgewood. authorities say the teens went to the park for some sort of meeting. there was a confrontation and shots were fired. now kearins was taken to upper chesapeake medical center in bel air where he was pronounced dead after arrival. cousins was flown to shock trauma reported to be in good condition. 21-year-old garfield smith iii was arrested and charged with several crimes including first and second degree murder in connection with the shooting. now the vigil will be held

tonight at 7:30 at the park on tumble road in edgewood. sherrie johnson, abc2 news. pretrial hearings will be held today for the second and third accusers in the underage sex assault case against the voice of elmo. kevin clash had four men now come forward saying he abused them while they were teens. the baltimore native denies the allegations and resigned from the "sesame street" role back in november. some are pushing back. nearly 1,000 people gathered near the state house to protest a number of gun laws being introduced by the governor. and support the right to bear arms. o'malley wants the ban assault style weapons and create stricter licensing requirements for handguns. the measure also would improve the state's mental health services as a way to prevent overall violence. the owner of a frozen yogurt and ice cream franchise in utah is basically offering $1 off to anybody with a

concealed weapons permit. ronald young says that gun owners don't get a fair share in the united states and he wants to use his store as a soap box. young's plan was initially just to offer the discount for a day. but says the response has been so great, he's making it a week long event. well, a bizarre accident in san diego just look at this video as a car suspended over the outdoor staircase. this happened when a 70-year- old man lost control of the car and he was trying to get a parking voucher when the car starts rolling forward. the man was not hurt. the boy scouts of america have decided to delay a vote on lifting a ban to allow gay troop members in the organization's executive board: they now say they need more input on the decision. it's going to now be made at the annual meeting in may. gay rights groups and other critics now want to organization the lift that ban. some religious groups and conservatives say allowing gay members would destroy the organization by diluting the boy scouts' message of morality.

and doors open at noon and it will run through the weekend to sunday. there are still plenty of tickets available and you can buy them at the door, $10 for adults and cheaper for kids. on sunday they're actually having a family fun days. come on check it out. we're live at the baltimore convention center. linda so, abc2 news. students may soon be able to receive college credit for free online classes. that sounds pretty good right? over the past yore, dozens of universities have started putting their most popular classes on the internet free of charge. but very few actually offer a degree credit for them. well, five courses will be available for credit including algebra, calculus and bioelectricity. they will still be free for students. however students do need to have to pay to receive the actual credit towards graduating. five things you may want to know on this thursday. secretary of defense leon panetta is testifying before a senate committee today about the deadly attack on a u.s. consulate in libya last year. four americans including u.s. ambassador chris stevens died. we're expecting to get an

update today on the investigation into boeing 787 dreamliners. the planes have been grounded in the united states and japan because of multiple technical problems including faulty batteries. lawyers for the man convicted of killing chandra levy in 2001 are petitionings for a new trial today. they say one of the prosecution's key witnesses may no longer be considered credible. ingmar was sentenced to 60 years from prison for levy's murder. faces cia director john brennan. he will likely be asked about the leaks of private information. mathers of faith will be discussed in d.c.. the event will provide a venue for president barack obama to deliver his first remarks about america's religious community. well, someone is waking up a lot richer than they were before they went to bed. the powerball numbers were drawn last night.

see the clouds out here. we do have them increasing throughout the day. and also we're dealing with patchy fog. now you see me walk to the other side. now look what we have. yes, we are dealing with two storm systems and this is what's going to happen as we go through tonight into tomorrow. we are looking for these systems to phase together. and areas of low pressure will develop. and along the carolina coast and ride up towards the northeast. for us, bringing us some rain across the area. but on the onset of this system, it will start out as a wintry mix. but the further to the north you go, i'm talking about new england, they're dealing with blizzard conditions, up to about 2 feet of snow across that area. for today, temperature coming in at 40 degrees. easterly breeze going to keep the temperatures down. tonight though that's the bigger story. 34 degrees. late showers with rain and then that's when that may mix in and that will continue early tomorrow morning and then switch over to rain before it's all said and done by tomorrow night into early saturday morning. things will start to maybe
